They have no posts, pegs or ropes to trip over or bump into. It basically supports off the roof rack.
Awnings provide shade, comfort, and protection against the elements when camping. Speed and ease of setup is of paramount importance to enable usage while en-route, e.g. for a quick stop at lunchtime.
Special importance has been given to the design of the structure to ensure strong mounting to guarantee that the awning stays stable when the wind blows
A roof rack is an extremely necessary piece of equipment that complements any touring journey, be it across the state or across the world. Some people would wonder why roof racks are so important and why consideration needs to be given to purchasing a roof rack that is constructed of the right materials as well as the advantage of the right design.
That’s why Hannibal Safari roof racks are recognised across the Globe for their strength, reliability, functionality and weight.
The design of the Hannibal roof rack incorporates good looks with aerodynamic performance for minimum wind noise and maximum fuel efficiency. Hannibal roof racks are constructed using 6063 Architectural grade aluminium and attached using stainless steel fittings. This means less weight and no issues with rust or corrosion many years after purchase.
The advantages of a Hannibal roof rack are many. Use of the space on the roof rack to stow a spare wheel, rack bag, tables, chairs or other equipment; fit an awning or shovel. All of these items are best carried on the outside of the vehicle. This means more room inside the vehicle for the essential items.
Wide planks run front to back to minimise wind noise. These planks are also kind to equipment like rack bags. They are strong enough to stand or walk on the rack comfortably and the slot in the centre of the plank offers a variable tie point for tying equipment down using the cargo rings supplied.
Hannibal racks have optional top rail kits that bolt into the base rail and the rack is designed to fit most makes of 4x4's, those with gutters as well as the gutterless models.
Hannibal racks are designed with a low profile to hug the roof line and to keep a low centre of gravity for a more stable off road and on road experience.
Rack bed and frame are fully welded for maximum strength and reliability.
Optional detachable rails for flat packing or mounting a roof top tent.
Full length gutter support rail (on gutter mount racks) to spread load.
All Australian Hannibal racks are powder coated black. Raw finish is available upon request.
Lifetime Guarantee against manufacturing defects.
